Our Collective  hold a presentation about our work during the opening night of the exhibition.Hence, two projects of our collective, `Ruin-Carnating Janjeva`and `Within Prishtina Warchitectures` were exhibited at “Jusuf Gervalla” Cinema in Peja during December 2022. The exhibition was part of Landscapes of Repair project realized in cooperation between forumZFD – Kosovo Program, Kinema “Jusuf Gervalla”, Anibar and The University of Sheffield.

Our exhibition `Ruin-carnating Janjeva `is taking place at Grand Hotel and will be open to public until the end of  October this year.

Ruin-carnating Janjeva in Kosovo project represented by Argjirë Krasniqi (Ecociety) will be exhibited in Manifesta Biennial which will happen in Prishtina this summer, 22 July! More exciting news to come.

Argjirë Krasniqi (Ecocietystudies) has been part of research team together with Iyonda@Lab: Collaborative, shared & difficult heritage in DR Congo, as an Open Faculty Project of KU Leuven: Patrick Devlieger, Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences, KU Leuven. New master studio course at KU Leuven University, Sint Lucas in Ghent. Inspired by the project of Ruincarnating Janjeva in Kosovo (Argjirë Krasniqi`s master dissertation project at KU Leuven University), under supervision of professor Marc Dujardin, Argjirë (Ecocietystudies) gave her contribution during the master semester, guiding students on Ruincarnating Gjakova in Kosovo this time.

Ecocietystudies is exhibiting three works in the Online Exhibition “Landscapes of Repair”, a collaboration between the University of Sheffield and the NGO forumZFD Kosovo. Landscapes of Repair exhibition showcases Kosovo-based artists’ works themed about reoccupation, repair, and reformation of the built environment in post-conflict Kosovo.

Ecocietystudies participated with Ruincarnating Janjeva in Kosovo project and Kosova Warchitectures project!

Ecocietystudies was part of Venice Biennale of Architecture 2020, in the Kosovo team representatives. Argjirë Krasniqi (Ecociety) was part of curatorial national team as well as participated with two projects  in the Biennale Book Catalogue for  Kosovo Pavilion. Projects: Ruincarnating Janjeva in Kosovo and Rammed earth charging Station (in collaboration with Lutolli Architects+Partners)

Ecocietystudies was part of research by design project in Trans Nzoia in Kenya, designing and building a house for an unprivileged rural family!  Around 5000 adobe bricks were made with soil taken from the location where the house was built. During the whole process, a number of trainings were offered to community members which helped to complete the project.

Ecocietystudies was part of ECOWEEK Tilburg festival in Netherlands.  Argjirë Krasniqi( Ecocietystudies) together with Gzim Pacarizi (Politbyro) lead a design workshop  at Avans University. Theme: Build with Void. Construct with minimal use of material to develop a sensibility for space.

Ecocietystudies organized the third edition of ECOWEEK Prishtina sustainable festival – REFLECTION!` A two week boot camps combining workshops, lectures, presentations, movie screening, and debates from some of the most prominent architects, engineers, urban planners in the field.  In collaboration with 9 other architecture studios and professionals, we held 6 different hands-on workshops  in 6 locations around Prishtina city.  65 local and international students  and 24 volunteers did participate during two weeks long.

Ecocietystudies was part of ECOWEEK Thessaloniki festival in Greece.  Argjirë Krasniqi( Ecocietystudies) together with Maria Tsaftari (Urban Soul Project) lead a design workshop  at Thessaloniki University. Theme: Design shelters for homeless people in Thessaloniki,  Homelessness `

Ecocietystudies organized the second edition of ECOWEEK Prishtina sustainable festival! In collaboration with 16 other architecture studios and professionals, we held 5 different hands-on workshops  in 5 locations around Prishtina city.  76 local and international students  and 24 volunteers did participate during one week long.
