ECOCIETYstudies is an emerging educational and social initiative for Design, Research, and Consultancy on Social and Sustainable Architecture.

Founded in Prishtina (Kosovo) by Argjirë Krasniqi in 2014. 

By promoting the relationship between nature and built environment, human and natural resources, and encouraging circular design and social justice we aim to improve the quality of life for today`s generation as well as those who come after.   Hence, through practices on using locally sourced materials and what already exists,  we seek to reflect on past and present for new future use and meanings. Managed to organize and be part of numerous projects internationally,  implementing hands-on educational projects with communities directly involved.  Instead of building FOR, we build WITH. 

We have been reflecting on our practice through workshop tutoring, exhibitions, lectures and research projects in Kosovo, Thessaloniki University -Greece, Tilburg University- Netherlands, Avans University and TU Delft University- Netherlands and Kenya, KU Leuven University – Belgium, The University of Sheffield – England, Venice Biennale -Italy.
